Quick crochet tip : adding beads to your chains [guest star : Christmas Tinycorn]

As I was already preparing my Christmas gifts (what? 3 weeks before isn’t considered like an “already”? But it’s a feat for me !), making a new tinycorn, I thought that I could make a very quick tutorial on how to add beads to a crochet chain !

Actually, it’s really very simple, you just need to thread a needle (which size will fit in a bead)

And thread the beads.

Then, you’ll just need to put a bead near your crochet hook just before making your chain.

Yarn over it, and tadaaa !

The bead will stay trapped in the chain !

Low effort, high reward !

I’ll come back next week to tell you all about the postcards in the background !

See you soon !

PS: I don’t forget the article about my 6 month trip, but you know, Christmas and all… ^^

  1. Your tinycorn is just so adorable. Please can you point me in the direction of the pattern. I loved your tutorial about adding the beads, I always wanted to know how it is done. It’s simple.

    • the link is all the way to the top of the page, in french on the left side of the page, in english in the right..it’s an e-book with a bunch of patterns, including the tinycorn (it also includes instructions to make little wings and make a tiny pegasus)

  2. Thanks for the bead information. I’ve made a few of your Tinycorns in the past and these would make cute updated versions. I’m a big fan of your Pot Bears too.

  3. Your Tinycorn is adorable. And thank you for the demo for beads, something I will definitely try. The eBook is wonderful – I can picture masses of Tinycorns and Tiny Pegasus hanging all over the Christmas tree.
    Thank you very much
